About Us

Monka Design Studio

MONKA DESIGN STUDIO was founded in 2016 by María Monleón Capitán, and it operates in the fields of NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT, QUALITY CONTROL of processes as well as finished goods & CONSULTING services.

The studio is located in the heart of Ubrique, a town in the south of Spain with more than 350 years of history in the leather industry.

The main goal is to assist leather goods brands throughout the whole production journey: from prototyping to creating detailed tech packs and patterns, sourcing the right partners and materials, managing productions and doing quality controls of the production processes as well as the finished leather goods.

We want to simplify the process for leather goods brands so that they can be at peace knowing we’ll be their eyes and will be by their side from beginning to end making sure everything goes smoothly.
